Today, Young Republicans take part in one of the largest grassroots movements we have experienced in our lifetime. Tea Parties across this nation take place today in the spirit of the legendary 1773 protest where fed-up colonists dumped tea into Boston Harbor as a symbol to the British king of their frustration with taxes imposed upon them.
As our patriot ancestors took action and kept the march toward liberty moving, we, too, today have a similar opportunity to make our voice heard in civil protest of the extraordinary tax burden our country, our generation now face.
Attend a Tea Party today! They will be hard to miss! Many of our Young Republicans have been responsible for the planning of their local Parties, will be speaking at the events and helping to increase the many faces of Americans present to show their disgust of Washington's out-of-control spending.
This is not a Republican issue, this is not a Democrat issue, this is an American issue and today our voice will be heard.
